Round Image Corners and Create Circles Online
Modern web design and social media profiles love curves. Hard, sharp edges often look outdated. The ToolOnWeb Round Image Tool lets you smooth the edges of your photos or crop them into a perfect circle instantly. It automatically handles transparency so you can place your rounded image on any background.
How to Round Your Photo
- Upload: Drag and drop your image (JPG, PNG, or WebP).
- Adjust Radius: Use the slider to round the corners slightly (great for app icons or buttons) or click “Circle” for a full round crop.
- Download: Click “Download PNG” to save your new image with a transparent background.
Why Use This Tool?
Transparent Backgrounds
If you try to round corners in basic tools like Paint, the corners turn white or black. Our tool creates true transparency (alpha channel), so your rounded image looks great on any website color.
Profile Picture Perfect
Need a circular photo for Instagram, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp? Don’t guess the crop. Use the Circle (50%) button to instantly turn any rectangular photo into a perfect circle centered on your image.
Secure and Private
All image processing happens in your browser. Your personal photos are never uploaded to our servers.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why does the download have to be PNG?
JPG images do not support transparency. If we saved your rounded image as a JPG, the corners would turn solid white or black. PNG preserves the see-through corners.
Can I make a perfect circle?
Yes! Just click the “Circle (50%)” button. This sets the radius to the maximum possible size, creating a perfect circular crop.
Does this reduce image quality?
No. We process the image at its original resolution. The only thing that changes is the shape of the edges.
Does it work on rectangular images?
Yes. If you choose “Circle” on a rectangular image, it will create an oval. If you want a perfect circle from a rectangle, we recommend using our Image Cropper first to make it a square, then use this tool.
